SammiThe Canada Games family always wanted a dog. But not just any dog! They wanted one that was full of life, enthusiasm and love. My sister Anni and I were in need of a good home, and when the Canada Games family met us, their hearts melted instantly. They loved how energetic, warm-hearted, and full of excitement we were. They could tell we were both natural athletes and that either one of us would make a perfect addition to their family. When they saw how well we played together, they knew we were special. They decided to adopt both of us!

Once we got a little bit older, the Canada Games family decided to make us the official mascots for the Halifax 2011 Canada Games. We love being mascots. We get to play all the time, go to interesting places, make lots of new friends, and spread our energy and excitement for the 2011 Canada Games wherever we go!

AnniI just love to go. I’m always on the go. You’ll find me tolling the audience for applause, teaching kids dance moves, trying my paw at various sports or even just doing jumping jacks for fun. The one thing I don’t do very well is stand still.

Sammi is very energetic too, and he gives 100% to everything he does. One of his favourite things about being a mascot is that he gets to pass out fun stuff to kids at various Canada Games events and see their big, bright smiles!
