If there’s an event that will make you proud to be Canadian, tune in to (or even better, see it in person!) the opening and closing ceremonies. The opening and closing ceremonies of the 2011 Games will be huge community celebrations that capture the spirit and uniqueness of Halifax while showcasing the athletes and participants of the Games.
The Opening Ceremony will be Friday, February 11, 2011 and the Closing Ceremony will take place Sunday, February 27th at the Halifax Metro Centre.
Medal Ceremonies will happen throughout the Games to recognize excellence in each of the sport competitions. You’ve seen ‘em before…gold, silver, bronze, tears, O Canada….
