Provision of Design, Supply, Install and Decommission 400m Temporary Refrigerated Oval for the Halifax 2011 Canada Games Host Society (Closes 12 noon Friday, January 29, 2010)
The Halifax 2011 Canada Games Host Society is seeking Proposals for Proposals for Refreigeration System for 400m Oval to provide:
- Refrigeration equipment needed for the above is able to deliver approximately 130TR for an outdoor Destination Rink in HRM post Games, remaining refrigeration must be able to deliver up to a maximum of 75TR for multiples uses. such as a community arena or curling rink.
- Provide most effective cost estimate for the design of all components required for the operation of the oval. Include any start-up, electrical, maintenance, commissioning and decommissioning costs related to the refrigeration for the 400m oval.
- The refrigeration design must take into consideration that the refrigeration system will be utilized post Games with one refrigeration unit being used as an outdoor destination ice surface within HRM for the months of December – April.
- Plan for the ability of the remaining refrigeration systems to be redeployed post Games in community based arenas in Nova Scotia with 6 month operations.
