Sport Description
Cross country skiing has been part of the Canada Winter Games since the first Canada Winter Games in 1967 in Quebec City.
There are two skiing styles: classical and free. Cross country ski will take place at Ski Martock during week 2.
Also known as nordic skiing, this discipline is considered the father of all skiing and sledding sports.
Developed in Scandinavia in the early part of the last millennium, nordic skiing was used by Norwegian and Swedish military patrols prior to races being contested between military units.
