Annoying Things About Land-Based Casinos
The great thing about playing at home is that you get to play on your own terms. You don’t have to worry about other players’ irritating habits, slow response time or smoky rooms. Every casino visitor has different casino peeves about which they can expound at great length. As a non-smoker, the smoking atmosphere is a very big pet peeve of mine.
I get that some people feel that smoking in a casino is part of the experience, but I just don’t like it when my eyes start to water or (most especially), coming out of the casino with my hair and clothes reeking of smoke. Since it’s unlikely that casinos will introduce smoke-free areas, they should install better air-conditioning systems to filter out the smoke.
Another peeve comes from playing during casino peak hours – the incredibly long line for the buffet and the shortage of serving staff. If you’ve ever been in a busy casino, you’ll know just what I mean. While this can be minimized by arriving before the main crowd or waiting until the line has thinned, such measures aren’t always possible and having to stand around waiting wastes a good deal of time.
To be fair, these factors aren’t enough to keep players away from casinos, but they certainly contribute to more online casino nights!
